Edwards History
The Kalamazoo Pant Company
The Kalamazoo Pant Company was founded in 1867 by Samuel Rosenbaum with a focus on crafting durable pants. Located in downtown Kalamazoo 300 E. Michigan Ave, was where The Kalamazoo Pant company thrived until the 1940s.
The Edwards Street Era
In the mid 1900s, operations moved to a new factory on Edwards Street. The modern facility increased production and introduced pants with metal zippers. The move inspired the name Edwards Garment, which still carries the company’s legacy of quality today.
The Move to 9th Street
As production grew, the company evolved into Edwards Garment and settled into its new home on 9th Street in Kalamazoo. The updated facility marked a shift toward modern manufacturing, warehousing, and national distribution. From here, Edwards continued building its reputation as a leader in professional and uniform apparel across North America.
New Age Edwards Garment
Building on more than a century of craftsmanship, Edwards expanded its focus from manufacturing to innovation and design. The company introduced new brands like Point Grey and EdwardsX, blending comfort, style, and sustainability into professional apparel. Today, Edwards continues to grow as a leading uniform supplier while staying true to its Kalamazoo roots.
From a small workshop in Kalamazoo to a trusted national brand, Edwards has always believed in the power of hard work, craftsmanship, and people. Since 1867, our journey has been shaped by those who give their best every day and by customers who share our vision. We are proud to carry that legacy forward with gratitude, innovation, and a continued commitment to creating apparel that helps people look and feel their best.
